 Eyeland Creations is a full-service print and Web design agency with a reputation for helping companies combine a comprehensive package of marketing and communication solutions. Our award-winning team of designers, developers, writers, and photographers partner with your company to build communication tools that drive business success. Founded in Newburyport in 1997, we recently expanded into offices at the Boston North Technology Park in Amesbury.
Beth M. Durkee
Principal
Beth M. Durkee, CIW, founded Eyeland Creations in 1997. She has more
than 19 years of experience in graphic design and business communications.
She specializes
in designing effective, dynamic print and Web communications.
Beth began her career by graduating in the top of her class with a
certificate in Graphic Communications. She studied color theory
and design at the Laguna Beach College of Art and Design, Laguna Beach, CA.
Her
education is ongoing, acing an intensive certification program to achieve her Certified Internet Webmaster
(CIW) status. She holds advanced certification in JavaScript, Flash, HTML, CSS and web languages. She offers expert-level expertise
in Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark Xpress and MS Office applications such
as Word, Access, PowerPoint and Excel. She has been certified by both
Adobe and Quark Xpress.
Beth has worked with a variety of clients in various industries,
including:
- Member of the Verizon e-Commerce team who merged the former Bell Atlantic's BigYellow and
GTE's Superpages to form Verizon
SuperPages.com.
- Marketing and Creative professional for Aquent, Boston, a division of the world’s leading marketing and creative staffing agency.
- Product support, training,
interface design and marketing communications support for Brainshark, developer of rich media applications whose partners
include WebEx and Microsoft Office
Live Meeting.
- Marketing Director for a start up software company developing benchmarking tools for the software industry.
- Art Director for a start up software company developing ERP software for the
smaller manufacturer worldwide.
Jeanne Daneau
Design Associate
In addition to her web design work, Jeanne oversees our job trafficking and office support. Her background is in retail and the pharmaceutical industries. Her skills include Flash animation, content development, research and Dreamweaver expertise.
Laura MacRae
Design Associate
With more than 10 years of experience in sales and marketing, Laura provides support in most aspects of our business. In addition to assisting with design and layout, she has a sharp understanding of search engine optimization and e-commerce customization. Laura's technical skills include Dreamweaver, animation, and digital e-catalog production.
Michael Daneau
Chief Technology Officer
With more than 15 years of experience in Information Technology and Systems
Administration, Mike has worked with some of the industry leaders including
Philips, Spherion, Agilent / Lucent Technologies, Hewlett Packard and
Polaroid. He heads our IT department and offers a wealth of experience
in web site hosting and server support.
Keith Allen
Database and Web Application Development
Keith has been developing IT solutions for more than 20 years in the areas
of manufacturing, finance, education and healthcare. His current area
of focus is in the development of database-driven web sites using PHP and
MySQL. He also is a great believer in the use of Open Source solutions
for IT needs.
Anita Perkins
Media Specialist
Effective writing is more than dotting “I”s and crossing “T”s. Clear and creative copy and concept development can make the difference in capturing or boring your audience. With more than 20 years in news, advertising and design, Anita has garnered many awards including a Pulitzer prize. She specializes in: Newsletters, e-zines, blogs, press releases, brochures, PowerPoint presentations, reports, manuals, catalogues, Web and ad copy.
Joshua Pritchard
Editorial Support
Josh provides quality control support and editorial assistance for Eyeland Creations. An experienced database manager and copy editor, he holds a BA in General Humanities from Suffolk University and a Master of Science in Media Studies from Suffolk University's Sawyer School of Management.
